Best Shot Monday: Cavorting on the Beach

The Baby Angel enjoying the last beautiful days of our Indian Summer on Good Friday. This is Brighton Beach where we walked on New Years Eve. And that is the extraordinary structure on the end which looks like a UFO from underneath!

My Mum once painted a sky like this when she was a girl in the UK. Her art teacher told her off. 'The sky is NEVER that blue," she chided.

Many years later when my mum arrived in Australia as a young bride with a one year old baby, she observed the sky and wished fervently that she could rub her old art teacher's face in it.

Tracey is looking at 'truthiness' over at Mother May I. Pop over and see some of the week's Best Shots.

Gorgeous!!!

How I could use some beach cavorting right about now. It's very rainy and gray here.

Look at the ballerina! And the sky is really that blue where you are? Groan: we've got the gray and dreary sky here today.

So carefree! So lovely! That sky is incredible. We are switching place; as you begin to cool down, we are heating up. Mid-ninetys today!

I love her feet! A natural born star.

Rub this in your mom's art teacher's face indeed.

Oh my goodness what a fantastic capture! If that doesn't show the joy of hanging out at the beach, nothing does!

I rarely dance or run anymore, but this is what my HEART does when I am near the sea! What a LOVELY capture...the intensity of the blues- the sky and sea is just breathtaking!

Lovely shot! I love BA's dance. Also, you are making me jealous. It's finally April up here in Philly but still cold as all get out. Sigh...

Gorgeous blue, and really cute pose! I've been amazed by the skies here lately, so blue and we even had some lovely puffy clouds the other day, so nice to see!

I love your title...cavorting is such an appropriate word for that photo. Love it.
btw...if you have an anonymous comment on your more recent post, it's probably me.... didn't realize that I'm not logged in. hehe

Your Mom's art teacher was right - I've not seen a sky that blue in a few years now - looking forward to seeing one again!

What a gorgeous picture, I love how you captured her in that moment!

Sad for that teacher your mum had, she lived in a "gloomy" world her whole life...

I see that blue often now that I have Harrison. I love the depth of it - as you have seen from my header which is SOOC.
