How about this? Cool huh? I found it by accident whilst looking for Hollywood Stars as a model for The Cake. As a result I was able to make an individualised star for each attendee at the party yesterday.
I was going to post something last night but after icing cake until 2.30am and then being up at 6.45am to finish cooking cupcakes etc, I crashed with the kids at around 9pm. Himself, who had also been up at 6.45am due to an 8am breakfast meeting, was up til 2.30am putting together the rough cut of The Movie!!!!!!! He's still in bed now.
So, what did I do with all those stars?
Here is Elle Woods with her $8.00 op shop dress and her own personal star, standing on the 'red carpet' (hessian) on the Walk of Fame!
Hmmm.
Remind me to re-tile the hideous front hall.
Going to the gym now.
Will post more when I get back.
Dad (aka the paparazzi) took LOADS of photos!!!!

That looks like a great party! I love the stars - and I love her dress too! I can't wait to see more pictures!
Wow...looks cool. I can't wait to see more.
what an awesome photo! smashing!
What fun...what fun! I LOVE her dress and the stars, and like others, I am anxiously waiting other photos. This is the most fun. If you have not done so, please check out my best friend in the whole wide world's most recent post...it is all about a "red carpet" movie premiere party that she hosted as Angelina Jolie last year. We had THE most fun...all of the guests were celebrities, and her party was based around her favorite movie "Wild Hogs." Sallee's post has our movie on it, so perhaps you can post BA's movie too! Really, a great job...I know you all must have been exhausted pulling that off in such a short amount of time, but it looks as though it was well worth it!
That is SO cool!!!!
Come here for my birthday, please and throw me a party!! :)
She looks like a STAR! Can't wait to see more.
Those Hollywood stars are too cool! The BA really does look the part of a famous movie star - you do realize she's gorgeous, right?? Waiting on more pictures. ;o)
I quite like that tile. Looks like a good party for sure. Ten days til Aus...
I can not WAIT for more pictures and more details about the PART-AY! It looks like a blast and the perfect party for a sweet girl of the teen-age.
And I agree with Christina...you do realize how incredibly beautiful she is, don't you?
Christina and Natalie: Thanks. I think I grew her ok didn't I? I guess most of the growing now is her own doing though :-)
Chris: You have just slipped a few points in my estimation. You obviously have 'tile blindness'.
Everyone else: The Movie, which now has a title (Time is Money) is massive and I need to discuss with Himself the best way of posting it if indeed it is ethical to do so bearing in mind the 12 other kids who have not signed 'talent release forms'. Much as I would LOVE to show off our hard work.
sounds quality, wish my mum had done parties for me! and 'growing a kid' - we have an australian working in the child abuse unit too and that's what he always says which most of us find quite funny, but i think it makes a lot of sense. most people just say 'bringing up' but that has bad connotations too...
I love those stars. Remind me of an Oscar party we threw a few years ago... but we just bought cardboard stars from the party store and I printed our guests' names on each one. It turned out cool but I would have loved this authentic look!
