Question: Blogging Help

I would love to put my bunch of flowers and my Nice matters Award onto my sidebar as pictures but they are too wide and get distorted. I have made things smaller on my sidebar before but that's when they were in html. I have tried resizing the picture but even though it seems to fit vertically, the horizontal perspective is all wrong. Any ideas oh clever bloggy lot out there????

wish i could help but i have no idea how to change anything on my blog.... i don't have much computer knowledge at all. it is amazing i can even post a picture! HA HA HA!

I don't know. I just right clicked the flowers... hit save as to save the picture on my computer... and then uploaded the flowers as a picture into my sidebar. I think I clicked the box that said "shrink to fit". Other than that.... I have no idea.
I just went into the blogger customize function, went to add page element, selected "picture," and it seemed to have re-sized the photo itself. Dunno if that helps at all!? :)
While we're talking about your sidebar: The music is great, but it may be worth setting it up to let the user turn it on rather than autoplay. If your computer volume is up high and you navigate to your site the music can be surprising and deafening. Might cause people to navigate away quickly. Most good players allow you to set this up.
I don't have any suggestions really. I'm not all that blog savvy myself.
I just watched "The Truth" over on your sidebar. HA! That was so cute! They did a good job, you evil pink alien, you!
If you copy the object and save in a Microsoft Word file and then save from there into a webpage format this will be an HTML file and you should be able to place in side bar without distortion, buy me a drink the next time we meet
If you have to do it yourself (there's no blogger function) you look at the code. Find where it says width and height. delete the height, and change the width to how wide your sidebar is. I can open up blogger and walk you through it if you need help. Let me know.

Ktjrdn: I couldn't find the photo in html....haven't had much time to play lately.
IN the widget, there's a box that says "stretch to fit". UNclick it. Then resize your pic to 180 pixels wide in MS Office Photo manager
That perplexed me for a long time.
Thanks headbang! It actually says 'shrink to fit' so it was counter intuitive to UNclick it! Having done so I didn't need to resize at all!!
