But Why?

Just as an addendum to that last post I suppose you are wondering why anyone would WANT to put patio furniture in the pool? That would be so two 12 year old girls could swim under it as it sat on the bottom. Or have underwater tea parties. Who knows...they have been told before not to put it in but I think this time they'll remember!

My grandparents always threw their lounge chairs in the pool during storms... so they wouldn't blow away. And also to clean them. The chlorine worked wonderfully to soak away the grime.

Whew! I seriously was totally dying to know why the patio furniture was in the pool. I thought maybe it was a weird Austrialian thing?! Turns out that it's a weird pre-teen thing instead. Go figure!

We're having our coldest night in several years tonight...and you're talking about swimming under patio furniture in the pool. This is so strange to me.

Thanks, friend, for making such sweet, insightful comments on my brother's blog. We're both so very grateful.

I never thought of cleaning them in the pool!! I think that's why Himself doesn't want them in there...too much crud goes in with them. Also, cleaning out the filter box when there may be redbacks around is unnerving.

i loved doing that sort of thing when I was wee, I love playing in water, my sister and I when on holiday used to swim in pyjamas, play underwater leapfrog (where you go through people's legs), do underwater gymnastics etc etc. I am so looking forward to swimming in the sea in Perth and there's a pool at the house too, coo-el!
PS now I feel all happy cos your music is uplifting too!
