Thanks for all your comments folks. Sadly Himself's previously luxurious hair has thinned and greyed to this wispy remnant. He still wears it long though...and ties it back in a ponytail for special occasions :-D

GID had prevous (short) luxurious hair, too. Now he's a cue ball! (Did I say that? - He's a handsome one, though!)
As for cross-processing, people kept using the term so I looked it up on glorious Wikipedia and found out what it is. That's when I realized it's a style of film processing that I really like!
