Yes, inside each of these perfectly formed little tripods is a new spiky, scratchy, horrible weed, waiting to sprout. And they are now in my garden. Thanks for that, picnic blanket.

Don't you hate that? The Adelaide Hills in summer are not a benign environment.
Oh - look at the little souveniers from the outing.....BLAH - good luck with the nasty little ones that did manage to get into your garden! :)
Ha! We both posted pictures of weeds. We must be on the same wavelength! At least you were out enjoying a picnic when you picked up the little stowaways!
You also get bonus points for being the first! Congrats!
LOL...that will teach you to not clean your blanket after an outing! The picnic part sounds fun at least. :)
The pictures I took were actually just last night, so I squeezed it in for the theme. :) It was a beautiful evening!
funny -- before i read the post, i thought they were some kind of australian bug :)!
It's amazing how sticky seed pods are and where they turn up. We have these awful prickly things called goatheads I just detest and somehow one always seems to find it's way into the bathroom where of course I find it later! LOL
Great close up. What are they?
They look like little aliens. (Hmm, I've been hanging around a four-year-old too much...)
well that's good because I actually thought they were bugs.
