SOOC Saturday: The Kiss

Congratulations to my Bestie and her Beloved as they celebrated their engagement last Saturday. They would stand there with all that light behind them wouldn't they?

Things I would do with this photo if I processed it? Well, firstly crop out the corner of the water feature and Uncle B's elbow and as much of that hideous brick wall as I could, then I would hit 'auto adjust'!!! Really, I have no clue about these things. Layers, gamma levels, opacity, dodging and burning; the very terms make me hyperventilate. I know I should just ask Himself but like any professional he is less than tolerant if you don't pick something up quickly and he also assumes a lot of prior knowledge that I suspect I lack!

Ah to have the skills of Melody and her ilk. Still, pop over to Slurping Life for SOOC Saturday and see what their photos look like 'before' as well.

Very sweet photo, no matter how you crop and mess with it!

Congrats to your friends and this is a sweet photo. I know what you mean, my photo edit skills are more along the lines of guess/check/revise.

It's a beautiful, heartfelt shot! I know very little about editing, too. Hopefully over time we can learn!!

It is not about the processing, but the moment captured. This one is perfect.

That said, I think the same things about every photo I shoot...what to do to it.

Congratulations to the happy, adorable couple.

answers to your questions....Yes the photo is of me
I took the photo using my Canon Rebel and my handy dandy remote control~wireless trigger. The camera is sitting propped on the night stand beside the bed.

Hope you had a nice weekend

I also am a fan of the auto button in editing programs :) Great moment, some things are beautiful all on their natural own.

Actually, I did crop it for use on my blog, leaving out Uncle B's elbow and the WF - but leaving in the essence of a great moment and true love finally found. Thank you for being there and giving us this wonderful memento! :-)
