Crafty Tuesday: Top of the Quilt

Sorry I'm late! Here's the top ready to go together. The farthest row has been sewn into 3 blocks of 4 but I will get into the rest of it with a vengeance tonight. I am due to meet the Doyenne of Quilting on Friday when I will purchase wadding and backing (under her supervision) and retire to her place for the next lesson. She is determined that I have at least most of it done before the end of the holidays otherwise as we all know, it won't ever progress any further!

If you like craft, check out Crafty Tuesday at Carrie's.

Very nice! It's the top that's the fun part, the back not so much for me.

Great job! That looks like a lot of work, and you are definitely on a roll. No problem in getting it done by the holidays, right?? I have never done a real quilt before, but I hear some people are not fans of doing the backing and binding. Hopefully you get through that part pretty quickly. At any rate, you get to spend some quality time with your friend. :)

Looks very pretty! I've always wanted to buy wadding. What the heck is wadding?!?!?! Is that the fluffy stuff?

Wadding? Fluffy stuff. Yeah.
Oh and guess what....I changed the whole thing up again as it was too long and thin. Not finished sewing it together yet and it is Saturday. *sigh*

My hat's off to you, ma'am - you and my sister both sew for fun. Me, I have to scramble to find a needle to darn a hole in my sock!

I'm feeling a bit underpar on my domestic skills now...:)

Lovely...I think your colors go nicely together. The husband and I have several quilts that other people made and we bought...(cheaters) :)

I love a quilt's exquisite detail and craftsmanship...a time-honored treasure that you are making! Good for you. Hope you do rest as well on your holiday.
