Fortieth National NS14 Championships

OK. What has been going on?
There has been a conspicuous silence on the Flaming Sword front this past week and this is why.

We've been here!
Working hard,
accepting boat registrations,
keeping race results in order,
selling raffle tickets, club hats and T shirts,
socialising in the 'wet bar',
watching the fleet 'launch',
and feeling sorry for ourselves when our brand new mainsail did NOT live up to expectations.( Baby Angel took this photo :])

New Year's Eve was spent selling raffle tickets at the club and I didn't manage a single photo! The following day I was laid up big time with another bout of tendonitis/bursitis of the shoulder, left shoulder this time. Friday I got a cortisone shot from the doc and things have been on the improve since then. I was even able to do up my own bra today! Simple pleasures.

My sister and her family have been doing day trips with mum and dad while we were occupied at the club but now our decks are all but clear and we hope to be spending some serious time with them.

Hope everyone had/has a Happy New Year!!

Look at you -- the multi-tasking queen! Hosting out of town guests AND all of that hard work - you are a machine! Hope that you enjoy your time with your sister!

Well done - looks like, well hard work.

Great day today! Thanks for letting me and Zach crash your family party.

Hurrah for bra closure! I know what you mean - I pulled a muscle in my back and couldn't do doodly squat for a few days.
The sailing looks divine - it's been years since I've sailed - sigh!

I am so jealous...to be so near the sea! I love the ocean- am not sure about sailing...I've never been, but the boats look amazing and the blue water. Oh! Just lovely.
I agree with Maggie- you are a machine! You can do ANYTHING!!!
Sorry about the shoulder...ringing in the New Year should not be so painful.
We were all sick here...me- stomach virus (really really nasty sort), the daughter- wisdom teeth removal (all 4), and Horatio (the cat) -very painful kindey stones...what a great way to celebrate a new year. :)

Hope all is better now...more relaxing and way less painful for you!

Sporting clubs? All they want is a piss-up. Gracious living in lost on them.

I'm sorry I haven't been around as often. I sooo appreciate your comments when you drop by and your kind words.

I hope your family is well - and I will come back soon!
