Theme Thursday: Childhood

Childhood

cuddle me friend
now
while we are still unashamed and open

cuddle me while it is
the most natural thing
to do

cuddle me now
for in five minutes
I will
hit you
with my ice cream

Well.
you started it

This is a scanned image taken before the age of digital. Even scanned at 1200 dpi it hasn't come out as clearly as the original. I ran it through Noiseware too. *sigh* You guys are so lucky to have digital images of your kids when they're young, in such high resolution!

Check out some other images of Childhood over at The Land of KA.

I'm laughing because that is SO where my life is right now. When I get home, I'll post a funny story with a picture of M at the ball park Tuesday evening. I love sweet toddler friendship!

I think it gives it a nice vintage feel.

What a sweet shot...and the words are SO TRUE! I do have some of the kids' earlier pictures on film. My first digital camera was nothing special, so I have my own wishes in that regard, too. :)

I actually really like the noise and the age. It gives the picture its own unique charm. I've never been a big fan of digitalizing older photos from ANY era. Part of the appeal of any era of photos for me is the quality from that particular era. So I like that it looks "vintage" even if it is more vintage than the original! :)

I like the scan "feel" of the photo though - and the words are so absolutely perfect!

Very sweet and such a fitting poem to go with it!

All my childhood photos are on film and I love them! These days, digital photographers are leaning towards vintage~izing their photos anyway! =)
